Super matte kitchen cabinets in melamine and thermoplastic
Here is a contemporary kitchen that offers a perfect blend of warmth and brightness with its countertops in melamine, replicating the look of natural wood grain, and in white thermoplastic.
The wall of medium-brown melamine cabinets includes various cabinet and drawer sizes to optimize space and make for easier storage of foods and kitchen accessories. A built-in, multi-shelf matte black acrylic étagère has been integrated into the furnishings, and every square centimetre of space – from floor to ceiling – has been maximized.
Made of white thermoplastic with a super matte finish, the long central island not only incorporates the cooktop and dishwasher – it also features ample storage space… because you can never have too much! All the elements are harmoniously tied together thanks to the three open melamine cabinets that have been integrated into the island.
Every drawer and cabinet in this kitchen is equipped with the BLUMOTION soft-close mechanism and TIP-ON system, which allows a handle-less installation. Another feature: the toe kicks, that is, the baseboards at the foot of the furniture, are not recessed, as is usually the case. Instead, they are flush with the fronts of the drawers and cabinet doors.
Kitchen island countertop in quartz
The large kitchen island has a Calacatta Gold quartz countertop, a material that evokes marble and its distinctive veining. The countertop extends as a downstand at each end of the island.
Laminate lunch counter
Partially straddling the island, a lunch counter – both practical and inviting – is included in the layout. Laminate in the same colour as the melamine cabinets was chosen for the countertop because of its affordability and durability.
