Kitchen cabinets in imitation barnwood melamine

Now this is a trendy kitchen! The furnishings in this design capture the beauty and richness of wood … but think again! All of the cabinets in this rustic kitchen are made of melamine.

The two melamines featured in this project, one in a natural shade and the other an imitation of greying barnwood, are laminates from Europe. They offer exceptional quality and a remarkable similarity with real wood. Grain, grooves, knots, texture … It’s all there!

Island in melamine with quartz countertop

A predominant feature of this kitchen is its large island in melamine. Installed at the centre of the room, it serves not only as a practical surface for meal preparation, but also as an eating counter and a wonderful space for socializing with friends. In addition, even though no handles are visible, the island’s “wood” panels behind the bar stools conceal extremely functional cupboards providing additional storage space. The dark grey, almost black quartz countertop adds a level of distinction.

Functional and decorative kitchen accessories

The designers left nothing to chance when they created this kitchen. The furnishings feature antique-looking handles and trim, designed to emphasize the room’s rustic look. The textured glass cabinet doors add a touch of brightness to the room. The room also features several open cabinets. This latest trend from Europe was prominently featured at the latest furniture exhibition/EuroCucina in Milan. All of these details combine together to create a customized kitchen that is entirely unique.
